Traditionally the series acts as a warm up series for the BRCA national and this ensure a god quality entry as drivers get some much-needed track time prior to the next round of the national series which takes place in two weeksâ™ time.
Reigning BTCC champion Olly Jefferies took TQ ahead of Elliott Harper and Chris Grainger as all the drivers battled high winds and constantly changing grip levels, in the 13.5 class it was Zak Finlay taking TQ with his T4 ahead of team mate Markus Askell.
Rain threatened all day but held off as the cars left the grid for the first of two finals. The first final saw Olly take the win ahead of Elliott who pressured him for five minutes but Olly kept his cool to take the win. In stock both XRAY drivers got away cleanly but after only a handful of laps Markus was out after being hit from behind, no problems for Zak as he cruised to the win.
Leg two and Zak made it two out of two and secured the overall win.

In the second A final drivers were left trying to second guess their tyre choice, as the drivers assembled on the grid it started to rain, the main contenders all went for wet weather tyres but a minute in to final it stopped raining and the track dried quickly, none of the top cars looked comfortable on a dry track with wet weather tyres and Olly had a to fight off a spirited challenge from Elliott Harper and Zak Smith, but he held on to take the win and retain his record of not being beaten in the UK this year.
More important than the win was the track data gathered by the team in preparation for the BRCA national in two weeksâ™ time, although both XRAY drivers took victory they both realise they still have a lot of work to do.
